It's no secret everything Z knows about tobacco was learned in the fields and at the rolling tables in Pinar del Rio, Cuba under the tutelage of his beloved grandmother, Celestina. This cigar honors her legacy as well as Z's love and appreciation for her and all she taught him.
We set out to make a premium cigar worthy of Celestina's name and we think she would be very happy with the end product. The result is a classic looking closed foot cigar capped with a pigtail. Adorned with a gold foot band and ornate primary band with the Celestina name flanked by the only image we have of our beloved Matriarch.
The cigar itself smokes like a dream. On the first puff, that closed foot 3-year-old Ecuadorian Habano 2000 hits you immediately with spice and a medium to full experience that never backs off. The cigar opens up very quickly after that initial puff to flavors of earth, balanced by spice and nuttiness. The spice never backs down but it plays very well with notes of cocoa, cinnamon, and a rounded sweetness. All of these flavors make this cigar the perfect pairing companion for a nice cup of coffee or even a café con leche.
This cigar is near and dear to us so we hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating this commemorative tribute.
Our first cigar, the 19th Hole features a well-aged dark maduro wrapper. The Nicaraguan filler and binder mingle with this Ecuadorian wrapper to create a medium smoke with a hint of spice, complimented by notes of cocoa and nutmeg.
View CigarOur Cuban Porrón got its name because of its unique double figurado shape, similar to the pointed spout of a porrón used for communal wine drinking. The pleasant aroma of this cigar is apparent from the very beginning. You'll taste notes of hay, leather, and cream.
